Moriah, Why Ya?

from Reach For The Water by Geno Haffner

/

about

My friend, Moriah Harris, and I were talking about how all of the writers of the Great American Songbook had written songs with a woman's name as the title and she lamented that no one would ever write a song with her name. I guess she never saw "Paint Your Wagon". I don't think this is quite the gentle ballad she had in mind, but we sure did have fun recording the Trad Jazz section!

about

Geno Haffner Nashville, Tennessee

Hi! My name is Geno Haffner. I am a music nerd deeply enamored with the songwriters and musicians of the early 20th Century. I take great pleasure in using my piano and my voice to spread the good time gospel of ragtime, boogie woogie, jazz, and blues.
